At Anna-Ash Poodles everything we do in our breeding program is based on science/research based resources, personal and professional experiences and advice from veteran breeders, trainers and veterinary specialists and our own knowledge and experience gained working in various roles within the animal professional industry since 2003, including veterinary technician, canine hydro-therapist and professional groomer. From this knowledge and shared experience, you can expect a happy, healthy, home raised puppy, set up to be successful in their new life and endeavors with their family!

- All our parent dogs are health tested beyond the minimum CHIC standards for miniature poodles including:
-Patella Evaluations
-CAER eye examinations
-Cardiac Auscultations
-Genetic Disease testing for
~PRA-prcd AND PRA-rcd4 (two forms of Progressive Retinal Atrophy)
~Osteochondrodysplasia (skeletal dwarfism/OCD)
~Degenerative Myelopathy (DM)
- Our dogs are all fed a high-quality balanced diet and enjoy plenty of exercise to keep them in optimum body condition.
- Dams receive prenatal and postnatal vitamins during and after pregnancy and through weaning.
- Our dogs attend routine veterinary check ups, receive vaccinations as necessary to maintain health and safety but without over vaccination, and receive regular heartworm preventative.
- All our dogs are regularly bathed and properly groomed

We utilize many puppy raising protocols and strategies, some that start as early as 3 days old, including but not limited to:
- Raising our puppies in a caring home environment amongst our family and other animals
- Raising our puppies on ergonomic, slip free surfaces from birth to minimize environmental orthopedic risks and encourage proper growth and development
- Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS)
- Noise and texture desensitization
- Age-appropriate physical exercise
- Age-appropriate enrichment activities and equipment
- Beginning marker word training
- Problem solving and confidence building exercises
- Foundations for impulse control
- Crate Conditioning
- Outside human and other canine interactions
- Regular bathing and grooming exposure
- Regular deworming schedule
- Age-appropriate Vaccinations
- Veterinary Examination
- First dose of Heartworm prevention administered before leaving
- Quality diet from weaning to going home
- Regular bathing and puppy grooming
- Obtaining a current Florida Veterinary Health certificate before sending a puppy home
- Maintaining individual puppy medical records
